Lake Van with its sodium-rich water covers an area seven times larger than Lake Constance. As the lake is without outflow food is plentiful thus attracting a large variety of bird species to the river deltas. The Bendimahi delta on Lake Van and Lake Erçek are among Turkey’s most important wetlands. The landscape of the area is diverse: volcanoes with crater lakes and lava flows alternate with sparse hills and lush marsh areas. On the higher levels there is an abundance of flowering meadows with wild tulips. You will reside in our own holiday resort at Lake Van on a peninsula at the lakeshore, with a long pebble beach and crystal clear water.
